After-Hours STAT Courier — North Central Massachusetts
FJ Enterprise Medical Courier provides urgent after-hours specimen transport for healthcare organizations in North Central Massachusetts. Local corridor STAT service runs 6 PM to midnight, seven days a week. Subject to availability at time of request.
Service Window
Our public service window is 6 PM to midnight. This is the coverage gap most couriers leave open. After-hours STAT requests received with less than four hours notice are automatically classified and invoiced as STAT service.
Requests outside the service window may be reviewed manually and accepted only when available. After-midnight dispatch may be accepted when operationally feasible and is subject to an additional fee.
Local STAT Pricing
All pricing is confirmed in writing before the first run. The figures below represent local corridor STAT minimums. Final pricing may vary based on actual stops, wait time, frozen handling, after-midnight dispatch, and route-specific factors.
Covers one pickup and one delivery within the approved local STAT corridor. Additional pickup or delivery stops within the same dispatch event are billed as added service stops.
Requests to the State Lab in Jamaica Plain, Tufts Medical Center, or other Boston-area destinations are classified as long-distance STAT diversions and priced separately due to extended mileage, access considerations, and reserved courier time.
Pre-scheduled evening runs with four or more hours advance notice. Consistent routes, documented pickups, direct operator communication throughout.
Dedicated after-hours coverage may be available by arrangement for healthcare organizations requiring consistent nightly availability. Contact us to discuss your route and volume.
A STAT request is billed as one dispatch event when all pickup and delivery locations are provided at time of dispatch and completed as one continuous route. Additional stops within the same dispatch event are billed as added service stops, not separate STAT runs. Requests added after dispatch, route departure, or route completion may be billed as a route modification or separate STAT request.
Specimen Handling
